Randy Hamilton

Randy Alan Hamilton, 55, formerly of Attica, died Monday, Nov. 16. 2009, at his residence in New Riegel.

     Randy was born June 11, 1954, in Willard, to Lester and Joan (Featheringill) Hamilton, and they survive.

     Randy also is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Charles King of Attica.  He was the proud uncle to Amy (Joe) Keefer of Perry, Leslie King (Astron Whatley) of Painesville, Cheryl King (Joe Walter) of Columbus, Jared and Ryan Keefer of Perry and Kaylin Whatley of Painesville.  He also is survived by three paternal aunts, Donna Heibertshausen of Attica. Marjorie (Harold) Altherr of Napoleon and Alice Hamilton of Bloomville.

     Randy was a graduate of Seneca East High School, served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of American Legion Post 0888.  He loved scuba diving, motorcycles, photography, John Wayne movies and spending time with his nieces and nephews.  Randy was an avid reader, a member of the Friends of the Tiffin Seneca Public Library and found great joy in being surrounded by his collection of hundreds of books.

     A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Union Pisgah United Methodist Church in Attica with the Rev. Peter Bellamy officiating.

     Family and friends will be received at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

     Burial will follow the service Saturday at the Attica-Venice cemetery with military honors rendered by the United Veterans Council.

     Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tiffin Seneca Public Library, 77 Jefferson St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883.
