Michael ‘Mick’ Reiter

     Michael A. ‘Mick’ Reiter, 53, of 65 Elmwood St. Tiffin, died Friday, June 22, 2007, as a result of a motorcycle accident.

     He was born April 6, 1954, in Tiffin, to Ivan B. and Leota (Neikirk) Reiter.  On Oct. 19, 1974, he married Janet Spotts, in Republic.  She died Monday, June 25, 2007.

     Survivors, include, a son, Curt (Tiffani) Reiter of Republic; a daughter, Sarah Reiter of Tiffin; a grandson, Brok Ekleberry of Republic; a brother, Nevin (Mary Lou) Reiter of Republic; and three sister, Cleo “Cissey” (Mike) Puffenburger of Tiffin, Joyce (Robert) Roof of Dunkirk, and Mary (Robert) Burge of Boundbrook N.J.

     He was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis, in 1964, and his parents.

     Mr. Reiter was employed at the American Standard in Tiffin.  He was a member of the Republic United Church of Christ, an avid member of the Republic Lions Club, a member of the Republic Area Investment Club, a former member of the Scipio-Republic Volunteer Fire Department and a 1972 graduate of Seneca East High School.

     Mick loved to cook and he loved riding his motorcycle with Janet.

     Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2007 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka and the Rev. Jeff King officiating.  Burial will be in Farewell Retreat Cemetery, Republic.

     Visitation is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today, June 28, 2007, at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville. Republic Lions visitation will be at 8:15 and Christian wake services will be at 9 p.m. today a the funeral home.

 

 
   

     Memorial contributions may be made to the Republic Lions Club or the Mercy Hospital of Tiffin ICC Unit.
