Janet Reiter

     Janet Reiter, 53, of 65 Elmwood St., Tiffin, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

     She was born Jan. 10, 1954, in Tiffin, to Walter Vernon and Mary Ann (Kessler) Spotts.  On Oct. 19, 1974, she married Michael A. Reiter.

     Survivors include a son, Curt (Tiffani) Reiter of Republic; a daughter, Sarah Reiter of Tiffin; a grandson, Brok Ekleberry of Republic; her mother, Mary Ann Spotts of Republic; and a brother, James V. (Ruth “Rea” Spotts of Republic.

     She was preceded in death by her father, Walter “Vernon” Spotts.

     Mrs. Reiter was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, the Wade Benfer American Legion 404 Ladies Auxiliary, Republic, and a 1972 graduate of Seneca East High School.  Janet was an avid runner.

     Janet was a maintenance worker at Ameriwood Industries in Tiffin.

      Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2007 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka and the Rev. Jeff King officiating.  Burial will be in Farewell Retreat Cemetery, Republic.

     Visitation is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today, June 28, 2007, at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville. Republic Lions visitation will be at 8:15 and Christian wake services will be at 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

     Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center  ICC Unit.
